Scottish Premier League
The Scottish Premier League, also known as the SPL, is a professional league competition for association football clubs in Scotland. It is the top level of the Scottish football league system. The SPL faces some growing problems, many clubs within the league are in a precarious financial position and the league faces stiff competition from other richer european leagues. Yet more people in Scotland per head of population watch their domestic top-level league than any other European league showing how passionate people are in supporting Scottish Football.
