Thriving... not striving

FAQ

Q. How much does it cost?
A.
Membership is £1440 per year per business category, with a club joining fee of £195.  All costs are exclusive of VAT. Fees can be paid yearly in advance or by direct debit at £120 per month.

Q. How do I join Thrive?
A. Provided there is a vacancy in your business category in any of the clubs
(Click here for Membership Opportunities) you can sign up straight away or book a Try Before You Buy visit.   The Try Before You Buy experience is £45 + VAT for a Thrive club visit.  Each company is entitled to two no obligation club visits to before making a decision on membership.

Q. What happens when there is more than one company interested in joining?
A. Membership is based on speed of commitment. The first company to return the membership form gets the place.

Q. Is the membership corporate?
A. Yes. Any company representative can attend.

Q. What if my business category is taken?
A. Don’t give up. You can come to any of the public meetings as a visitor or register your interest for future Thrive clubs at
info@thriveforbusiness.co.uk

Q. What is the difference between a public and a private Thrive meeting?
A. A private meeting is open to members and visitors in gap categories only with the primary intention of generating introductions and referrals for one another. A public meeting is open to visitors of ANY business discipline and is designed to showcase a VIP speaker with general networking opportunities for all delegates.

Q. What if I’m not able to make any introductions or referrals?
A.
There is no introduction or referral targets for any members, people share what they can and what they feel comfortable with.

Q. What’s the best way of getting leads & referrals?
A. Be as specific as possible in what you want from other members. Don’t ask for contacts with “anyone who might need my services” but identify companies or organisations you want an introduction to.  Also make time to develop relationships with fellow members so you are better placed to recognise future opportunities.

Q. What happens if I can’t meet the attendance commitment?
A.
If the situation is temporary and can be resolved, the membership may be continued. But if the situation cannot be resolved the member may be asked to resign so that the category can be properly represented by someone else who can guarantee networking opportunities for other members. If the member chooses to resign the category, then a full year's fees are due to Thrive.

Q. What happens when I reach the end of my years membership?
A
. When a years membership is up you are very welcome to renew and keep the membership category. If however the membership is not renewed and Thrive is not notified of this in due time you will be charged on a month by month basis until the category is resigned.

Q. What is the "Magic Minute"?
A
This is your opportunity to showcase your business and ask for any contact or referals you may require. During the private meetings we have a themed magic minute where you will be asked to talk for a short time regarding a business theme. During the public meetings we ask you to state your name, company and role and any business asks that you may have.

Once a business category is secured by a member and a visitors of a similar category attends a meeting the visitor will not be given a magic minute. If the category is free or two members of the same category attend they will be given a magic minute.
